CD and Music Release Update

CD and Music Release Update

Hello, my friends!

I’d like to let you know about some changes in how my music will be available to you.

About half of my CD sales are sent to you lovely people in the USA, but sadly, with Trump’s fluid approach to trade and tarrifs (I’m trying to be kind in my wording here…) it became very obvious to me that I could no longer trust that I’d be able to send any of the approaching 4th Branch albums to the USA with any confidence that they would reach their destination. For a while, I began to think I wouldn’t be able to produce the final branch of the Mabinogi as a CD at all – without sales to the USA, it wouldn’t be financially viable.

But I have good news.

I have been talking to the OBOD office, and they have now taken on all of my CD and songbook sales worldwide. It makes total sense because they are sending mail everywhere and therefore have to keep on top of Trump’s tariffs to send to members in the USA. So I have officially closed my Shopify store, and all links to CDs and songbook sales on my website now point to a special page on the OBOD store dedicated to my music.

Click the image above, or that link is also here.

Regarding my CD back catalogue, as I run out of titles, I won’t be repressing any more. I have already run out of The Cauldron Born, so if you have a copy of that CD, it’s now a limited edition! The Y Mabinogi 4th Branch album may also be the last physical CD I produce. It might be the last album of songs I produce, too. Most of my music is heard through streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, and it doesn’t look like people listen to entire albums so much anymore on those platforms. So going forward, I will probably release singles and EPs on streaming and on my Bandcamp download site. To be honest this feels like quite an exciting change. Instead of waiting until I’ve written and recorded 10 songs for an album, which can take over a year, I can write and record a song, Cerri can create the artwork, and I can release it right away.

This change, for me, helps make things really spontaneous, and it means that, when I write a song, you don’t have to wait a year before you can hear it!

As ever, thank you for your support and for supporting independent music artists like myself!

See you online, or on the road!!

  1. Dear Damh
I only discovered you in December 2025 when I joined OBOD. Thankfully I bought two of your albums; Raise the flag of Green & The Antlered and Standing Stone – LOVE them both. It sounds like I had better be quick and buy more!!!! Your music is wonderful- both my husband and I ‘can’t stop playing it’✨️

  2. Your music is a blessing for me and so many, many others, thanks for all you do.
Change is good ! The new format sounds like this will be released in a more organic way!

  3. Thank you, Damh and Cerri, and congratulations! So excited to hear the Fourth Branch. I love your CDs (think I have almost all of them) and they have my been well-loved companions for twenty years this year. You give so much joy to the world through your music. Really grateful. .

  5. Personally I still really love physical copies of music and I definitely still listen to entire albums. Luckily I have all of your albums on cd. I realise I am in a minority nowadays but I do think it’s a shame I won’t be able to continue collecting the physical albums.

  6. Understandable about this decision. I know vinyl is probably even more expensive but as a collector I’d love if your stuff was available on that media.

  7. Hi Damh…I quite understand where you’re coming from, but I do have a question, please. Will it still be possible to download your music rather that it being a streaming-only release in the future? I like to be able to add your music to a playlist to listen to when I’m out and about….up here on the north-east coast of England we have a rather patchy internet service when you move out of the town centres and to be able to download is the only reliable way to get music, if not on CD.

  8. Hello Damh, it makes me sad that there will be no more physical cds.
However I totally understand why. I’m an old fashioned analog man. I do stream in the car but when I’m home I listen to my stereo. LPs and CDs.
So all that being said I would like to purchase every album on CD you have.
Do you have a link to do so.
Thank you so much for your music. It has brought many hours of enjoyment to me and my wife.
    Thanks
    Richard
